Single Vision
This charming character was an illustration I provided for a Year Six education resource. It was an English workbook focusing on the Ancient Greek legend of Odysseus and how he used his cunning to outsmart the brutal Cyclops.
As this image would be featuring in a book for ten year old children, I didn’t want my illustration to be too scary. the look I was aiming for was aiming for dim witted and lumbering, rather than a horrific savage. I feel this drawing achieves this balance nicely and I really like the vacant expression on the Cyclops’ face.
