SNES Joy Pod
The Super Nintendo has always been my absolute favourite console so, when I was asked to design a logo for a podcast all about the SNES , it was pretty much a dream come true.
Given that the show is basically a love letter to all things Super Nintendo, I wanted to create an image that reflected this. I felt the logo should be bright, exciting and structured around the machine’s iconic joypad in order to further emphasise the clever play on words in the podcast’s title. I decided to incorporate the cable in to the design, shaping it in to a love heart to further reflect the enthusiastic nature of the show.
The podcast should be launching soon and will be a weekly show devoted to reviewing classic titles from that era alongside some of the more obscure releases that may have passed you by. From what I’ve heard so far, it’s going be a great show and definitely something to keep your eyes open for if you’re a fan of retro gaming!
