Welcome Skate Store
This was I logo I designed for Welcome, a Leeds based skate shop. Welcome often collaborate with local artists to create limited runs of T-shirts and stickers so, when I was lucky enough to be offered an opportunity to work with them, I jumped at the chance.
The design was inspired by the naive hand drawn logos that many skate brands used in the early 90s’. I felt drawing the image by hand would ensure the lines were thick and chunky and in turn best achieve my desired effect.
Welcome is the hub of the Leeds skate scene and has given so much to the local community over the years so it was a privilege to be able to work with them and offer something back in return!
