Puppy Love
An illustration I created to be used on a St Valentine’s Day gift card. I got the idea when walking my dog and watching the way he greats all the dogs he recognises, bounding up to them and going nose to nose. I felt this was a very cute image and a great starting point for a sentimental illustration.
I decided to use Dachshunds for this design as I’ve always loved their long, slender bodies and thought they would lend themselves perfectly to the format of the card, filling the space nicely. I also thought they’d look very sweet wearing a bowler hat and ribbon- I hope you agree!
